For the past several weeks I have been in the process of developing a portable belt squat device. So far it’s working pretty well. It’s made out of 2 by 6s, 2 inch pipe, hooks and a nicely the padded belt.
Is very convenient because it folds in half and I can take it and use it on any power rack I have seen in our area. Do to the leverage advantage that it has, an excessive amount of weight is not necessary because it is a class 3 lever.
Once I get some spare time, I will I will get a video of it in operation to show you how simple it is. And then you can make one on your own.
The advantage of the Belt Squat is it pretty much takes your back out of the exercise and places a strong emphasis on your legs.
This is helpful when your back is sore.
