080720 New phone

Just to begin with, I am not bragging about the fact that I now have a new phone. But I do want to say that if I had held off for five more minutes and done just three more minutes of research I would still be using my old phone, which I got pretty comfortable with.

A little bit of background here. My old phone is only a year and a half old and it begin to use all the battery within about five hours.

Verizon offered a new iPhonesince and since the rest of my family was already using these I figured it would be an easy transition. Just after I decided to buy it and hit the purchase button I realized that I had not researched how to renew the battery in the old phone.

So acting on the advice of the Motorola people I renewed the battery in the old phone and it now holds a nice charge. However, it’s too late for me to turn the iPhone back so I’m going to give the old one to my son, if he wants it.

So I guess the moral of the story is don’t be hasty in hitting the buy button. I don’t particularly have buyers remorse but on the other hand…
