Warming up with the skip rope
Before doing this exercise, check with your health care provider to see if it is advisable for you to do it.
If you do not have artificial joints and your balance is good, then a quick over all body warm up using a skip rope is the ideal way to do it.
Skipping rope raises your heart rate, increases your breathing, creates a slight sweat, and helps develop your coordination at the same time.
In addition, probably the best part of all this is it provides instant feedback if you are not doing it right. It hits your feet, ankles, or head and immediately stops. Therefore, you know you have messed up.
Just keep practicing and soon you will be doing it longer and longer each time you do the overall body warm up with the rope.
Use good form each time you skip, head up and directly over your shoulders, landing on the balls of your feet, quiet jump foot falls.
Health caution reminder.
Talk with your health care provider before beginning any new physical activity. if, after this conversation it is deemed appropriate for you to skip, then go for it.
